A prospective PRIMERUS law firm’s clients, peers and members of the judiciary participate in the strict screening process conducted by PRIMERUS as a condition to membership. While Defrees & Fiske, LLC has been an AV rated law firm with Martindale Hubbell legal directory for many years, that standing is merely a prerequisite to be considered for membership with PRIMERUS.

PRIMERUS was established by concerned attorneys in 1993 in order to improve the image of the legal profession in the eyes of the public. It grew into a network of small to medium-sized law firms who shared a common vision of what the legal profession should stand for along with the commitment to contribute to the community.
